The Banque Cantonale du Jura (BCJ) was established in 1979. The Canton of Jura owns over half of the shares, while one third is held by other cantonal banks, such as the Banque Cantonale de Zurich and the Banque Cantonale Vaudoise. The BCJ is active in retail banking, mortgage lending, private banking and banking services for small and medium-sized enterprises. Twelve branches are located throughout the Canton.
